A home energy audit in a nutshell is a test of your home to see how much energy you are using and providing information on how much energy you could maximize your home's efficiency. We analyze your heating and cooling systems along with air quality and leakage. Small air leaks can equal big heating and cooling bills!

What does a home energy audit include?

• We start with Blower Door Testing, which gives us an idea of how tight your house is. All the windows in the house are shut and we use a very large, strong blower to draw air out of non-sealed areas in your house.
• We use Infrared Image Testing to visualy see where heat is escaping in your house. This is done with a special infrared camera which can "see" levels of heat on solid surfaces. Most likely, heat will be escaping through your roof if you have inadequate insulation. Other notorious areas are around windows and doors that have not been properly sealed.
• We use Flow Hood Testing on your air registers to evaluate the air exchange in the home.
• We use Duct Blaster Testing to find the leaks in your air duct heating system
• We use various other tools to test the heating systems for efficiency and safety.
